If you are in search of a fun brewery to take your furry friend, look no further than Apogee Brewing Company in Grover Beach. Apogee Brewing Company is a new pet-friendly brewery that specializes in Belgians, IPA’s, and various beer staples and seasonal brews. This brewery is space themed with a beer rocket ship as their logo, and lots of fun space decor. Apogee’s brought together rocket science geeks, successful businessmen, and seasoned brewers to form their own Brewing Company. The term “Apogee” actually represents the highest orbital point achievable. Their goal is to consistently provide the highest quality beers to their guests.
One of Apogee’s owners, Jeff, boards and trains his dog, Barley, at Springdale Pet Ranch. When entering the brewery, you will see his lab painted on the back wall mural. Jeff says that “the seven owners have a combined 150 years of experience in space between NASA, the US Air Force, and the FAA. And we are all compassionate about our furry k9 friends!”
Because Apogee is pet-friendly, one of Springdale’s dog trainers, Jack Balster, loves to take “field trips” to the brewery. Dogs-in-training get these field trips when they are signed up for a 15 or 20-day training program at Springdale Pet Ranch. Field trips are a great way to test the dog’s newly acquired skills in an environment with distractions, away from our facility. With plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, there is always room for dog training at Apogees! This new brewery is the perfect place to have a cold beer, relax, and bond with your furry friend. Cheers!
