Rescue dogs across California are in need of a loving home, and Springdale Pet Ranch is here to help! Our facility, nestled in the beautiful Central Coast, provides individualized training programs for all types of dogs. To create a difference in the lives of rescue animals, we have partnered with Gone to the Dogs Rescue, a nonprofit organization in Morro Bay, to provide free individualized training for their rescue dogs.
This past year, we had the honor to train Coco, a sweet chocolate lab. A client surrendered Coco to Springdale Pet Ranch. Coco was untrained, had extra weight, and craved attention. We joined forces with Gone to the Dogs Rescue so that together, we could give Coco the training and help needed to find a new home. During Coco’s stay & train program, our dog training professionals taught Coco basic commands like sit, down, place, stay, and heel, which could be used by her new owners. Gone to the Dogs Rescue took Coco on special excursions to the beach to help her reach a healthy weight. Shortly after the two week training program was completed, Coco found her very own loving home and is living her best life!
Currently, we are training a 9 month golden/lab/shepherd mix named Ginger. This ball of energy is working on her basic commands and manners. When Ginger completes her training program, she will have the skills necessary to succeed in her forever home. We can’t wait to see what Ginger’s future holds!
